A Note from Bend Veterinary Clinic – Oregon Pet Expo 2009
View Clinic Notes & Letters
The second annual Oregon Pet
Expo held at the Deschutes County Fairgrounds, Saturday, October 17, 2009, was a
huge hit! From all the different vendors, to the
support of the community, to dogs with Doggles, cats of all sizes and ages looking for forever homes, rats,
red tailed boas and bearded dragons there was quite a crowd. At our booth we had
some give away goodies thanks to Earth H2o™, without them we all
would have been dehydrated. Kim, with
DVM Resources,
Heartgard® and
Frontline® was
there.
In the afternoon we offered a
low cost vaccine and microchip clinic with free healthy pet exams provided by
our wonderful Dr. Maas and trusty technician Juan. We saw many cute pooches and
met their humans. Let's not forget about the entertaining hit song "Who let the
Dogs Out" which was sung by one of our favorite clients, Jane Devlin with dog
aerobics!
We also helped a little dog
named Maggie who had her foot ran over that day, Maggie was very brave! Our big
success of the day was finding a forever home for Farley, a cat we rescued
outside our clinic last winter. He went to a great family and will be missed!
We want to give a huge thanks
to Lisa, our Bend Veterinary Clinic receptionist, for coordinating our
participation in this event and for making it happen!
We are looking forward to next
year, when the Third Annual
Oregon Pet Expo 2010 is schedule
to be held. Hope to see you all there!!
